Katie Moulton

In this episode, I share the fantastic conversation that I had with writer, editor, music critic, and Tom Petty fan, Katie Moulton.

In June of 2022, Katie released her memoir “Dead Dad Club: On Grief and Tom Petty” on Audible and forever changed the way most of us (or me at the very least) are going to want to listen to this type of story. Katie was incredibly easy to talk to and we quickly dropped into a very natural conversation about her book, how she came to write and how it came to take on a new form in the audio format. We also talked about her love of Tom Petty and how his work acts as anchor points throughout her story. I’ve listened to this book three times now and know it will be one I revisit on an annual basis; it’s that good. We chatted for just over an hour and a half and I’ll be adding her Ten Questions episode on Friday for ya.

A last very special thanks to Paul Zollo. Without his book, Conversations with Tom Petty, this podcast wouldn’t be nearly as much fun to research.
