See What a Fool I’ve Been

Fool in the Rain, The Fool on the Hill, Ship of Fools, What a Fool Believes, Fool for the City, Everybody’s a Fool, Fool if You Think It’s Over, and Fool in Love. Every fucker and their dog seems to have a fool song for the love of gods! Well, Queen wrote one. Kinda. Brian wrote one actually, and he wrote it in his dentally-inclined pre-Qeen musical project, Smile; a band that had a dashingly handsome drummer and then two other blokes who history has been far less kind to!

This week’s episode covers the B-side to Seven Seas of Rhye. It’s an old Smile song that the boys dusted off and tried to add a lick of paint to and it’s called “See What a Fool I’ve Been”

If Kev were to title this podcast, he’d probably call it “Well she’s gone, gone this morning” or possibly, “Maybe she’ll be back in time for tea”

NOTE: Skip forward to 8:01 if wanna get straight into the manifestations and wheel spin.

The music at the end of the episode is the lead track off Randy’s last album. Soul Hammer and it’s titled “Alphabet City”. Randy of course grew up in a place where letters were outlawed and only numbers were ever used. Alphabet City was the underground club that he and his rag tag gang of lexical lawbreakers would head to every Thursday night to play ilicit scrabble tournaments! He wrote this song in honour of those halcyon days!
